On 28th March, we held a fantastic ceremony to celebrate the completion of our house banners.
The houses marched into the Open Area to the stirring sounds of Mr. Black on the bagpipes.
We had representatives from the William Wallace Society, The Burns Association and The Charles Rennie Mackintosh Society, as well as actor David O'Hara who has starred in the films Braveheart and Harry Potter. The other House VIPs sent messages of support to each of their houses.
The choir sang 'Caledonia', the Senior violins gave a rendition of 'Auld Lang Syne' and the Senior recorders played 'Fair Jean', accompanied by Mrs. Millar on violin.
Emotions ran high as each banner was unfurled by past and present House Captains to great applause.
The entire school community is indebted to Mrs. Maureen Walsh (DHT Mrs. McGill's mother) for the wonderful work she undertook in producing the Banners. They truly are works of sewing art! It was a huge undertaking but the results speak for themselves. Click here for photos
