Building Update
Building Update

As you will be aware, we are currently having the school building checked and necessary external repairs done. We would like to thank you for your patience and understanding as the machinery and fencing are moved around the playground. Hopefully this will be finished soon. We are also happy to report that the sheds have now been made safe internally and we are awaiting the removal of the fencing.

WORLD BOOK DAY 2015

Where could you see Asterix the Gaul, Dennis the Menace and Mary Poppins listening to a story? At Shawlands Primary on World Book Day!

The children and staff made fabulous efforts to dress as their favourite book character and we had a parade of characters to admire everyone's costume.

Red Nose Day
Red Nose Day

Red Nose Day  finally arrived! On Friday 13th March the school uniform was red and funny – and the children looked fantastic!

We had lots of entries for the T shirt competition and it was very difficult to choose the winners- well done to all those entered! The winners were

           P1-3 Isabel Walker

           P4-5 Amy Lee

           P6-7 Shariah Mushtaq

The winner of the Joke Book cover design was Zeenat Hussain.

At the end of a great day, we raised a grand total of £580!  What a fantastic achievement!

Well done Shawlands Primary! We would like to thank everyone for their support.  We asked you to help us make a difference and you certainly have!!

Thank you!
