Determined to Make Movies
<p>A group of P7 children put forward a proposal for a film which had to come under the banner of 'Legacy of Hope'. This was accepted for the Determined to Make Movies competition. After that all the P7 pupils were invited to a special screening of 'The Boy in Stripped Pyjamas' givinging them plenty to think about.</p> <p>The next step was for the production team to come up with a script and choose pupils to act in their drama. They were given the equipment for 4 weeks just before the Spring Break to film and edit their 5 minute film about bullying which was titled 'A Long Monday for Mike'</p> <p>On Sunday 20th June 16 pupils and adults from our school attended the awards ceremony in the GFT-we had been shortlisted for Best Drama and two children Sona Dass and Jack Anderson were up for best actor. Everone was delighted when we received Highly Commended in the Drama section and Jack won best actor!</p> <p>Apart from the success of their film the children feel they learned a great deal particularly about workning together, using peoples strengths and keeping to a deadline.</p>
